STEP ONE: PREBOOKING IS REQUIRED, 24 HOUR BOOKING WINDOW, 6 HOUR CANCELLATION WINDOW

Please login to the website or use the Mindbody app to book into the class of your choice. Please note, the booking window is limited to 1 day before the start of a class, to reduce the risk of someone booking too far in advance, and becoming symptomatic or exposed to Covid-19.

The cancellation window prior to class starting is 6 hours.

Especially with our reduced capacity – class spots are precious – Please, If you do not wish to attend a booked class, please Early Cancel (prior to 6 hours) to be returned a class pass and make the spot available for others. If you late cancel or no-show your booking, your class pass will be forfeited, and frequent offenders will be assessed a $25 penalty fee per incident.

STEP TWO: BEFORE LEAVING HOME…

Our Provincial Sports Organization, Muay Thai Ontario, receiving guidance from the Province of Ontario, requires us to keep changerooms closed. Please arrive dressed in workout clothing, ready to train.

Boxing gloves and handwraps are required. Please bring your own, or have them purchased online from our store prior to arrival.

Additionally, the water cooler is mandated to be closed, and loaner drinking glasses are not available. Bring an adequate amount of water in reusable container(s) from home.

(While the toilets are available, the shower facilities are mandated to be closed)

STEP THREE: ARRIVE EARLY, AND QUEUE OUTSIDE, (LATE COMERS ARE NOT PERMITTED)

As Physical distancing markers are painted on the sidewalk; please form an orderly queue while waiting for the start time of your class.

Do not arrive late as you will not be permitted to join, and the door will be locked. No exceptions, because of the time it takes to perform mandated pre-training checks (below)

STEP FOUR: FACEMASKS REQUIRED PRIOR TO AND POST TRAINING (NOT DURING!)

Our Provincial Sports Organization, Muay Thai Ontario, receiving guidance from the Province of Ontario, mandates that face masks covering the nose, mouth, and chin, are worn by members prior to and immediately preceding the end of training practice. Please bring a face mask (non-medical is fine) and be prepared to wear it prior to being granted entry. We will have non-medical disposable masks for sale for $5 each, however, to reduce single-use waste, we strongly encourage everyone to use their washable, re-usable, non-medical mask.

Once stationed at your station at the commencement of training, don’t worry, you can take your mask off (if you wish).

STEP FIVE: ANSWER PRE-SCREEN QUESTIONS, FOREHEAD THERMOMETER TEST

A Lotus employee will ask each queued member a series of questions regarding their health and Covid-19 risk factors, and take your temperature. Members with temperatures exceeding 37.5C, or evidence of Covid-19 symptoms will be sent home to isolate and get tested. For Members passing this inspection, you’ll be entering the facility (one at a time)

STEP SIX: PROCEED TO A HEAVY BAG STATION

Please sanitize your hands upon entry. Please remove your shoes, and carry them, along with all your belongings, to a heavy bag station of your choice, first-come-first serve basis.

Each heavy bag is marked by tape to ensure each participant is maintaining adequate distance throughout the training session. Fortunately, our heavy bag stations were already spaced 6 feet apart!

Each station has a clear plastic bin for you to place your shoes and personal belongings inside during the training session. The two washrooms are available as needed; please maintain physical distancing if there is a wait for their use.

Washroom Use: Per Muay Thai Ontario Guidelines, members must remove their handwraps before leaving their station if they wish to use the bathroom mid-class, to ensure proper hand sanitization practices are followed.

STEP SEVEN: CLASS IS DONE! DEPARTING VIA REAR DOORS (ONE WAY TRAFFIC)

If any equipment was used during the class (i.e. kettle bell, dumbbell, etc.) please leave them on the floor by your heavy bag so we know to sanitize them. Please don’t clean the heavy bag yourself like we used to! A Lotus employee must perform all the cleaning.

As class ends, please wear your face mask prior to leaving your heavy bag station.

In order to allow for adequate time for a Lotus employee to sanitize the stations per MTO guidelines, please collect your items from your bin and quickly proceed to the rear exit (by the bank vault, to the parking lot) where there are seats for you to put your shoes on prior to leaving the building. Hand sanitizer is also available by the exit as well.

At this time, common areas such as our former front desk waiting area, or Zen Lounge, are closed, per MTO and Provincial guidelines.

You may stay in the parking lot area to perform a more thorough cool down, or socialize with other members, but please continue to maintain adequate physical distancing while doing so.
