Our Coaching Staff
Meet the Muay Thai and BJJ Coaches at Lotus Fitness
The coaching staff at Lotus Fitness and Thai Boxing is what separates us from most gyms in Toronto. Our Muay Thai instructors are active competitors — national champions, Pan American champions, and provincial title holders who test their technique in real competition, not just in the gym. Our BJJ coaches bring brown belt credentials and deep competition experience. Every coach listed here teaches because they genuinely love passing the art on.

Chad has trained BJJ since 2016, beginning under Dan Moroney at Gracie Humaitá Woodbridge and currently training and coaching under Tony Isaacs and Michael Bryers at Grappling Arts Academy.
Beyond the mats, Chad spent nearly two decades as a professional drummer and international educator — and that background shows in how he teaches. He’s an exceptionally clear communicator who adapts his instruction to how each student learns, making complex technique accessible without losing detail and nuance.
Andrew holds a brown belt under Micah Brakefield at 10th Planet Etobicoke — one of the most innovative grappling systems in modern Jiu-Jitsu.
A multiple-time provincial champion, he brings real competition experience to every class and a coaching style that is precise, structured, and creative. Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or preparing for competition, Andrew’s goal is consistent, measurable improvement in your game.
