Reservations, Cancellations, No-Shows, and Late Arrivals

  • Members must reserve their training sessions online in advance through our web site or the PushPress app

 

  • Cancellations must be done 6 hours prior to the start of a class to avoid the late cancellation penalty (losing your class credit)

 

  • If a class was booked to capacity prior to commencement and a member late-cancels the following penalties are applied:
    • Class Pass Members – Forfeit their class pass (1st offense, warning, subsequent offenses – $31.50 charge to account)
    • Silver Members – Forfeit their class pass (1st offense, warning, subsequent offenses – $31.50 charge to account)
    • Gold Members – 1st offense, warning, subsequent offenses – $31.50 charge to account
    • therefore, please make sure to ‘check-in’ to every class!

 

  • If a class was booked to capacity prior to commencement and a member NO SHOWS the following penalties are applied:
    • Class Pass Members – Forfeit their class pass with1st offense, warning, subsequent offenses – $31.50 charge to account
    • Silver Members – Forfeit their class pass, 1st offense, warning, subsequent offenses – $31.50 charge to account
    • Gold Members – 1st offense, warning, subsequent offenses – $31.50 charge to account
    • therefore, please make sure to ‘check-in’ to every class!

 

  • If a class is fully booked, pre-reserved members are given first priority. Wait-listed and walk-in members must wait till 5 minutes after the class starts. At that time, if any pre-reserved members have not arrived, the Member Experience Coordinator has the right to give up those pre-served spaces to those members who are in wait, in the sequence of their arrival.

 

  • First Time Visitors are given instructions to arrive 15 minutes before the start of their first class to check in, receive a tour of the facility, and for those new or novices to Muay Thai, receive a 1-on-1 orientation on handwrapping and the basic Muay Thai stance and strikes. To ensure our first time visitors have a great experience, Member Experience reserves the right to refuse first time visitors their attendance if they arrive too late for this orientation to be completed.

Private Lessons Policies

  • Prepayment is required for booking Personal Training
  • Cancellation Policy: 12 hours prior to the start of your lesson, otherwise your payment is forfeit
  • No-Show Policy: Payment is forfeit if you miss/forget your appointment

Membership Policies

  • Autopay Memberships:
    • Memberships may be paused a maximum of 3 times per year, and for a total of 3 months per year. Membership suspension durations are a minimum of 14 continuous calendar days
  • Single Class or Class Passes
    • Expire after 12 months from purchase

Refund Policies

  • All sales are final.
  • We regret no refunds are available under any circumstances, so please don’t buy on impulse, and commit to your investment!

Harassment and Discrimination Policy

Lotus Fitness and Thai Boxing Inc. is committed to providing an environment free of discrimination and harassment, where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity.

Harassment is defined as “engaging in a course of vexatious comment or conduct that is known or ought reasonably to be known to be unwelcome.”

Examples of harassment include (but are not limited to)

  • Epithets, remarks, jokes or innuendos related to a person’s race, gender identity, gender expression, body type, sex, disability, sexual orientation, creed, age, or any other ground
  • Posting or circulating offensive pictures, graffiti or materials, whether in print form or via e-mail or other electronic means
  • Singling out a person for humiliating or demeaning “teasing” or jokes because they are a member of a particular group of people.

Comments ridiculing a person because of characteristics that are related to a ground of discrimination. For example, this could include comments about a person’s body, dress, speech or other practices that may be related to their sex, race, gender identity or creed

Examples of Sexual and gender-based harassment can include (but are not limited to)

  • Unwelcome physical contact
  • Suggestive or offensive remarks or innuendoes about members of a specific gender
  • Leering or inappropriate staring
  • Bragging about sexual prowess or questions or discussions about sexual activities
  • Rough and vulgar humour or language related to gender
  • Propositions of physical intimacy or demands for dates or sexual favours

If you are a victim of harassment or discrimination by an employee or another member, or witness it, please speak to any Lotus Fitness instructor or employee of your choice, or email into info@lotusfitness.ca requesting a specific instructor or employee contact you to discuss. You will be protected from retaliation and the matter will be held in strict confidence.

Harassment and discrimination will not be tolerated, condoned or ignored at Lotus Fitness. If a claim of harassment or discrimination is proven, consequences ranging from being given official notice and written warning, orders to cease all interactions with the harassed person, to dismissal of employment/expulsion of membership will be considered.
